A better way to choose your next destination

Great travel starts with a feeling, not a list of cities.

Some journeys begin with a pin on a map. Others begin with a feeling: salt in the air, a trail under tall trees, or a morning with absolutely nowhere to be. If you start with the feeling, the right destination often becomes easier to recognize.

Describe the experience before the place

Try writing one honest sentence about what you want to do and how you want to feel. “A quiet beach with good food and short walks” is more useful than “somewhere warm.” “Rainforest trails, wildlife and a comfortable place to rest” says more than “adventure.” These details help separate a beautiful photograph from a trip that actually fits you.

Then add the practical boundaries: where you are flying from, when you can travel, who is coming, and whether a flight or stay is essential. A destination can match your mood yet still be a poor choice if the travel time, season or accommodation does not work.

Look for evidence, not just inspiration

A useful shortlist should explain why a place appears. TIC8 translates your description into themes such as coast, forest, mountain or city. In demo mode, it compares those themes with our editorial destination catalogue. When the live place provider is connected, it checks actual nearby places and labels the source of that data.

A destination idea is a starting point. A confirmed trip needs dates, availability and a final review.

Pictures can help you imagine a trip, but they are not proof that a particular hotel, beach or trail will look the same when you arrive. We label illustrative artwork and credit third-party photos so the difference stays clear.

Turn a shortlist into a plan

Save the places that appeal to you and send a trip request with your dates and departure airport. Hotel and flight offers appear only when their separate live providers are connected and the required filters are available. A request is not a booking; our team reviews the details before anything is confirmed.
